Salvation Army festival to feature brass band
RED BANK - Come enjoy a longstanding tradition of Salvation Army Brass Band music at The Salvation Army, 180 Newman Springs Road, from 3 to 4:30 p.m. June 22. The world-renowned Salvation Army is known for its brass bands going back as early as 1865. This year's musical arrangements will include marches, selections, and both vocal and instrumental soloists.

School raises awareness of genocide in Darfur
Students of Shore Regional High School rallied together Saturday to raise awareness of the ongoing genocide in the Darfur region of Sudan. After a year of planning, the high school's Student Council presented the "Shorestock 2008" festival on June 7 on the West Long Branch campus.
