Recall LaGrange offers a look at the past
One hundred forty five years ago, Alabama's first chartered college was burned by Union soldiers during the Civil War.On Friday and Saturday, people will have a chance to relive the siege of LaGrange and glimpse life as it was during the Civil War era during the annual Recall LaGrange.

Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra vet Curtis Long to lead Alabama Symphony Orchestra
The longtime executive director of the Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra will take over that post with the Alabama Symphony Orchestra beginning in July. Curtis Long has been hired to fill the spot vacated by Trey Devey, who left the ASO in March after eight months on the job.
