Renewal of colorful tradition set at Esplanade
Work crews were wrapping up several days of preparation on Thursday for Boston's annual Fourth of July Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra concert and fireworks show on the Charles River Esplanade. It was expected to draw the usual crowd of about 500,000 people. The concert and the musical accompaniment to the fireworks were to be broadcast by WBZ Newsradio 1030.
