Dance, music will spice up Peruvian celebration
The Peruvian-American Chamber of Commerce of Central Florida, a nonprofit that brings together local entrepreneurs, will host a celebration tonight to commemorate Peru's liberation from Spanish rule on July 28, 1821. Mellencamp transitions from rocker to songwriter
Although John Mellencamp recently was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, the veteran doesn't consider himself a rocker -- at least not anymore. These days, Mellencamp uses the phrase "ex-rock star" to describe his place: "I am trying to make the transition from rock star to songwriter in public," he said.

Town offers rebates to beach visitors
