Basking Ridge, N.J.-based Verizon Wireless, a joint venture of Verizon Communications and Vodafone, will open its newest Communications Store in Fayetteville, Ark., on Aug. 16. Molly Hatchet and Blackfoot will perform Thursday night, Sept. 11; Styx will play Friday night, Sept. 12, and Academy of Country Music award winner Miranda Lambert will perform Saturday night, Sept. 13. All concerts will be at the Summit Arena.

Community band grew into umbrella music organization
President of the Hot Springs Concert Band, Will Anderson, gave a brief history of the band's growth since its inception. The Hot Springs Community Band was started in 1975 with 20 band members. Today, the band is called the Hot Springs Concert Band and has approximately 100 musicians. Not all of the musicians play at each concert.
