Boriqua Fest set to spice up summer weekend
A Boriqua is someone from Puerto Rico, and Elgin's Boriqua Fest is dedicated to celebrating the city's Puerto Rican residents and their culture. Hosted by the Puerto Rican Heritage Organization, Boriqua Fest will take place Saturday in Festival Park along South Grove Avenue in downtown Elgin. Festivities will kick off at noon with a parade.
