Two visits and I still didn't know why they called it Touch Supper Club . Might be the dark, jazzy vibes that flow like wine through the long narrow stretch of rooms. Or the portrait series of vintage entertainment greats -- Marilyn, Jimi, etc. Or sound system playing a velvety house music.

Aquarium ready for first fundraiser
More of the area's top restaurants have joined the lineup for the Oregon Coast Aquarium's first-ever fundraiser, the inaugural Jellyfish Jubilee: A Celebration of Food and Wine. The event, which benefits the aquarium's exhibits and education programs, will offer an evening of Northwest cuisine and wines, a silent auction, and live music from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 27.

Native American flute to trill at Toad Hall
Florence musician Bruce Jarvis will be performing on a Native American flute at Toad Hall in Yachats from noon to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 30. Jarvis will also be selling his CD and some flutes that he makes.
