City looks for savings in departmental cuts
MARQUETTE — The city will eliminate the cemetery sexton’s position by July 2009. The Marquette City Commission, in a budget work session Tuesday, voted unanimously for the action to save money as part of department budget cuts. Superintendent of Public Works Scott Cambensy said the position may be eliminated sooner, in case of retirement.
