NOTICE: Auditions set for ‘Christmas Carol’

Urban Outfitters' campus store hosts music festival 'pre-party'
Urban Outfitters, 507 E. Green St., hosted the indie rock band Elsinore on Sunday in the first of four pre-parties taking place in the store leading up to the Pygmalion Music Festival in September. Elsinore took the stage at 4 p.m. and played a variety of cover songs as well as songs from their new album "The General EP.

Copper thieves strike church
DETROIT -- Workers made haste Monday to repair the roof of St. Albertus, the first Catholic parish in the city organized by Polish residents, after thieves last week removed a 30-by-8-foot section of the copper roof on the 123-year-old building on the east side.
