Tilly and the Wall scale gender perceptions
Kianna Alarid is the kind of person you remember. Draped in tattoos with short, white-blonde hair and a funky style, Alarid strikes a powerful figure on stage as one of the singers for Omaha-based Tilly and the Wall. She's joined by tap dancer Jamie Pressnall, singer Neely Jenkins and "the boys," Derek Pressnall and Nick White from Atlanta on guitar and keyboards, respectively.

Agronomy hub opens
WINTHROP - Farmers came, ate, listened to polka music and toured the new 60,642-square foot United Farmers cooperative (UFC) dry fertilizer plant Monday on the east edge of town. After five years of planning, the new agronomy hub, which is designed to contain 38,500 tons of fertilizer, is the largest of its type in Minnesota, according to UFC General Manager Jeff Nielsen.
