UK women to host Fan Day
LEXINGTON, Ky. - University of Kentucky women's basketball fans are invited to the second annual “UK Hoops Fan Day” Saturday, Nov. 1 in Memorial Coliseum. PARK HILLS — The sound of music filled the air in the city Saturday. First, 12 high school bands marched through downtown. Then, 19 bands played on the Rebel Football Field. About 3,000 people came to see them. It was all part of the 23rd annual Central Invitational Marching Band Competition that brought schools from as far away as Charleston, Mo. and Sparta, Ill. to compete for trophies.
