Cathedral Nursery School held their annual Spring Musicals on Thursday, May 9. Under the direction of Mrs. Adrienne Cosgrove, the children entertained their parents and guests with songs and dances learned throughout the year. A four-year-old class played musical instruments, creating a wonderful band.

Stratford Avenue School fifth-graders mounted an energetic production of Willy Wonka Jr. in April. The play, based on the book Charlie and the Chocolate Factor by Roald Dahl with words and music by Leslie Bricusse and Anthonly Newley, tells the story of a world renowned candy maker who sponsors a contest to that will open his factory to several lucky finalists.

Work ethic key in settling search
After a year-long search, Williamsport has a new maestro. Tomasz Golka was announced as the winner of the Williamsport Symphony Orchestra's 2007-08 season search for a new conductor, titled the "Season of the Maestros." "The orchestra has been privileged to work with five highly talented candidates," WSO President Gregory Smith said.
